I've had decent fun with my creative products as long as you update the firmware when u get it.

I just think that 60gb is nicer to tote around than a 5gb small one. smallness doesn't matter much to me. It just means that i need bigger pockets :P

Eh, at this point I have more music than any player sold can hold.  So holding my favorite stuff in an easily pocketable design is convenient.
Check out my website, www.spongezone.net... oh, nevermind

2gb iPod nano. $200. Or find an 6gb Rio Carbon for less than that. (I have a 5gb one that I bought for $130 a while ago) Both are absurdly small, though the nano is smaller. It's a trade off. Color screen and smaller, or 3x more space.

Stay away from Sony mp3 products, because they require using Sony SonicStage, which is like pouring hydrochloric acid and needles into your pants.

I personally dislike Creative's products, they tend to have a lot of reliability issues.

Edit: I noticed you listed having it look cool as a requirement. In that case, I recommend heading directly for the nano. I've never been an Apple fan or an iPod fan, but the product design is undoubtedly sexy

Again, I live in Canada. Here it costs 250 dollars, so I cant buy it. I have about 100 songs that I like, so 512 MB is good for me, and I dont collect music at a fast rate.

get the nicest looking 1gig player up in canada.

get that adapter thing for your car.

it'll be like 150$.

Just goto a couple tech places and ask workers what their preference is. most'll say apple, but decide beforehand whether you'll get an apple product or not.

Mmhmm. I have a Sony Mini Disc player. Sonic Stage is absolutely horrid.

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that. The advertisement for mine said it could fit 5 to 6 hours, yet I could only fit 2 hours.
