There is no such thing as peace and there never will be. Peace is a delusion believed by the weak. Gandhi said : "An eye of an eye would leave the whole world blind". So be it because only a blind world can experience the peace that it deserves. But there in lay the sick irony. Who will be able to see this peace? The human species is at war. The enemy walks among us nearly invisible. Only those with true discernment can see them. But only one with discernment and vision can show them to others

Well, my type of internet isnt up there, I have wireless.
I love my ISP, at night when I am playing on Warcraft, I never lag. Its like using a T1! My current "throughput"at this time is  (for you kids out there, thats the raw speed of your connection):
507.48  Kilobits per second
0.5  Megabits per second
Thats up, and downloading speed
My ISP has a speedtest on their website at night it goes upto like 750, and .75 when there are less people online.
YA, WiFi ROX!!!

HA! ya fergot about the "other, i know about it tho, and like to brag" button huh?

I have 20 mule team dial up. DSL is five miles from my home but not offered here. This is a semi rural area. We have DSL at school and I love it.

SNET/SBC/Yahoo DSL.  1500kbit downstream, 128kbit upstream, but they are upgrading it to 256kbit upstream soon.  I generally get speeds of around 150kbyte, or 1200kbit downloading, and 16kbyte uploading.

I'm planning to get wireless.  Before I get it i need to find out if its reliable. Is it reliable and whose your provider?

Its pretty reliable...my provider is a buddy of mine that I invested with, and hes pretty good at gettin to any problems, just a little hard to get ahold of at night because hes a 1 man operation...but ya, it rocks. Kinda like using a fractional t1...ya know? Most other WiFi is like dsl, but I have a special arrangement so I get extra bandwidth  As for you getting it? Depending on location, it can be good or bad...if yer in a valley then there is no hope unless the "Tower" is like right above you...

Actually, T1 isn't all that great.  Its 1500kbit download and upload.  Most cable providers give more than 1500 download and most DSL providers give around 1500.  T1 is good for uploading though, and its really stable/reliable (mostly because it costs a load of money)

yeah, but dsl is "upto" t1 is guarunteed bandwidth of 1500 k up & down. and yeah T1 is better because dsl, and cable is actually a "shared" T1, where as having a T1, you dont hafta share the connection. And it costs a buttload o money because you get a permanent connection directly to the internet.
