Vista Prices leaked!!!
« on: August 28, 2006, 06:22:59 pm »
*note* all prices are in canadian currency :P

http://blogs.zdnet.com/Bott/?p=124

Further down the page are the american conversions.

About the same prices as XP at the moment, but I'll have to get Vista Ultimate for absolutely no reason :D

Oh, Vista Ultimate is all worth getting. Otherwise, it's just a new skin...

From engadget (I added the prices, full/upgrade):

Windows Starter 2007 - Vista without Aero, probably meant for developing nations. - ???.??/??.??

Windows Vista Home Basic - Basic Windows Vista for your single PC fam, doesn't sound like much going on here. Analagous to XP Home. 199.99/99.99

Windows Vista Home Basic N - European version of the same, but without Media Player (because of antitrust rulings against MS in the EU). (Euro) 155/77

Windows Vista Home Premium - This is the one we're all probably gonna own. It's got Media Center functionality, Cable Card support, the whole home-media shebang. 239.99/139.99

Windows Vista Business - Think of it as XP Pro, but Vista. 269/179

Windows Vista Business N - Think of it as XP Pro, but Vista, but Euro. (Euro) 209/139

Windows Vista Enterprise - Business version of Vista with numerous enterprise features, like Virtual PC, volume encryption, etc. ???

Windows Vista Ultimate - Love that name. This one does all of the above (and more); what else do you need to know? It's ultimate Windows. 349/199

If you aren't rich, choose wisely.

I might be missing something here, but didn't I just post a link with all of the prices? gg

Cause we don't care about:
Windows Starter 2007
Windows Vista Home Basic N
Windows Vista Business N
Windows Vista Enterprise

Well, we might care about Enterprise, but I doubt we'll ever see a copy of it that'll work.

btw, this is my 1500th post :D

They're pretty average for a new MS operating system.  I think XP launched at the same prices.

Meh... I'll probably get it with a new computer and have it like preinstalled or something, or I'll just get the Ultimate, or whatever.

Can't wait for Vista, though!
