Topic: Time Magazine Names George Bush Person Of The Year

Time magazine has honored President Bush for his efforts in the Iraqi war by naming him person of the year. He must not be doing that bad of a job if he was honored as person of the year. Would anyone beg to differ?

I won't get started on my opinions on Iraq, but still, he's responsible for the patriot act, and soon to be bans on homosexual marriages and abortion.

I still fail to see how banning gay marriages is a bad thing. You aren't gay, so why do you care? And I don't know enough about the patriot act but I would rather get that kind of info from another conservative. And banning abortions is a godsend.

Time Magazine bases thier choice for person of the year on how much they affected the world, hence Hitler recieving it once.  In 2001, they were planning to give it to Osama Bin Ladin, but due to an immense backlash, they awarded it to Rudy Guliani instead.
