I used to have that on my old computer. Then the computer shut down and deleted every single file.

Sorry to hear that...

My computer monitor exploded once.  True story... it was pretty cool... aside from the having no internet for a while and the costing my dad money part...

Its not viruses.

My computer did the same thing and then the power went completely out of my monitor. I couldn't get it to come back on so I had to buy a new one.

Yeah, it definitely isn't a virus and beside it's practically impossible for me to get one in linux. My computer is just fine, it's my monitor that's acting up. I tried it on my brothers computer and it went even worse on his. Anyways I'm getting a temporay monitor from my dads friend and 20 feet S-Video cables to hook up my tv as a monitor

sry bout that man i feel for ya lol
the only time i ever lost file was when i gave my old computer to BECAM and i forgot that i had left my presious stories on the desktop but i was told that when they get computers there they delete everything that was on the desktop and then sell it
there was a time there were i was sad for some time i had worked really hard on those stories and they just got deleted :( oh well ther'll be more to come
