They're immature and childish. They rely completely on fart jokes and potty humor to attract 3rd graders.

You all are insane.  Captain Underpants is a piece of literary genius, one that is unrivaled in its sheer brilliance.  I pray every single night that I can create something 1/18th a mindbendingly great as this work is.

Seriously, I can't believe I'm wasting my time here when a work of genius like this goes unappreciated...

All Captain Underpants is is mindless, harmless, random fun. While I wouldn't be caught reading the books anymore, I enjoyed them a lot around the age of 8. That's the target audience anyway.

I agree. I'm a big fan of Captain Underpants. My favorite is either the Attack of the Talking Toilets or Wedgie Woman. (#2 and 5)

Kevin, its a little kiddy book what did you expect?

Well IMO its the best little kiddy book I have ever read
There is no such thing as peace and there never will be. Peace is a delusion believed by the weak. Gandhi said : "An eye of an eye would leave the whole world blind". So be it because only a blind world can experience the peace that it deserves. But there in lay the sick irony. Who will be able to see this peace? The human species is at war. The enemy walks among us nearly invisible. Only those with true discernment can see them. But only one with discernment and vision can show them to others

I'll 3rd that. I thought they were genius, I don't like them as much anymore, but I still laugh at least once whenever I pick em up.

Dav should make a series for teenagers with sex jokes and stuff, I would read that.

Yeah, if he can make a book series about a fat guy in his underwear, he can at least make a more mature book series.  I think his best series are The Dumb Bunnies books.
