People are willing to spend that kind of money. Videophiles will buy it for Blu-ray. Videophiles will spend 10s of thousands of dollars on video stuff. Hard core gamers will buy it too. They don't really care about the price, seeing as how they'll spend $3000+ on Alienware PC's. And I think PS3 has a better selection of games then 360. All 360 has going for it is Halo, and that hasn't even come out yet.
