Night of spyware..

It was a dark and stormy night. I was looking on the computer when then...SPYWARE! I decided not to get to caught up and that IE was going through a "phase". Soon. toolbars took over and..*gasp* IE was shut down due to slowness. I then used Firefox which stopped some slowness and pop ups..soon after this..POP UPS! They wouldnt quit FF had no choice to chut down..then I took action.  My first move was the fantastic pop up stopper. It was fine for a few days. Then it failed on me. I had no choice but to believe it was spyware..and lots of it!  My parents took action. I turned into a young 10 year old PC freakzoid to a kid who gets his PC files checked every night..


Yes yes...the reason I havent been on. My PC snapped.

It sounded like you were telling a horror story (I guess for you it was one). If you put your mind to it, you could do anything...I'm starting to sound like my parents. *runs*

You need these programs:

Ad-aware SE
Spybot Search and Destroy
Microsoft Anti-Spyware (if you have Windows XP)

and for viruses you need Grisoft's AVG Anti-virus Free Edition.

I run all these, and haven't had a virus or spyware of any kind in at least a year.  Just make sure to keep them updated.
