Cloning Extinct Animals

According to this news article, they can finally attempt to clone an exinct animal.

What do you think about cloning something that has been extinct for thousands, maybe even millions, of years?
What are your 'for' statements and what are your 'against' statements?

So what do you think is good about the cloning of the animals, and what do you think is bad?

Oh, I heard about that. I think it will be good because it could give us more insight into the theory of evolution and why these animals became extinct.

Is it just me or does this sound exactly like the premise for Jurassic Park? XD
Anyway, it does sound like a good idea, I guess.

One I'de clone: ENGLISH CHEETAH.
Great Brittain DID have cheetahs...and so did north america...they mysteriously died out...the only ones that survived where african ones...but they are inbred...meaning they are all eachothers brothers and sisters.

REMEMBER: We are the cause of many animal extinctions, such as the DoDo, Tasmanian Tiger and Ancient Bear, Ancient Wolf and possibly the Mammoth.
We're monsters, but we can bring back what we killed...and hopefully give it a second chance.
