Okay I wasn't planning on joining again until I saw this topic XD (thanks Kevin!)Let's set things straight: Green Day is a pop-punk band, they just happen to be one of the few good ones out there. Ive heard American Idiot, and 2 other songs on the cd, and the punk-rock opera theme seems like it's going to play out very well. Not that i'm trying to unconvince you, but those of you who plan to buy American Idiot for the song released may want to hold off, this will probably turn out to be a cd that won't produce many hits, and it's not meant to be. I'd suggest listening to the cd first. I like all of Green Day's music, but I suggest you all listen to their 1st cd, 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours. It's very overlooked but it's a great cd, very little cussing too if you're not in to that kind of thing. If you plan on buying this one, try to find the original version, which may be hard now that their old record label remastered it. What made the cd great was it's well-written lyrics, its supply of great guitar hooks, and its non-major label sound. I suggest these songs: Going to Pasalacqua, Paper Lanterns, Dry Ice, 409 in your Coffeemaker, Only of You. Okay im done listing XD
