Most Musican's don't get that much money from album's. The record company gets most of the money the musican gets maybe 10% and half of that goes to their manger.

For every song bought on iTunes, the artist gets $.10 per song sold.

Youve got it backwards. The record company charges usually around 10%, the musicians get the rest.

Let's say you tape a tv show on a vcr/dvd recorder for your friend in real life who will away and he/she won't able to see it. It's not that bad.

Do the same thing on the computer except with a tv tuner card because he/she can't see it. Not bad at all.

Capturing the tv show and sending it out to P2P/Torrent where anyone can get it is totally different.

Its alright to do a little of this but don't get carried away. If you try to steal  almost everything on the internet as you possibly can your doing a bad thing and you should stop doing it right now. Such as. Emulators and 900+ roms Thats like stealing 20X900= 18000 Dollars. Ouch. Thats like stealing from a bank.

It depends how you use it. Me, I only download one of 2 songs per artist sometimes I only like those 2 songs and dont want to buy the CD. Sometimes I use it to test an artist and see if I like their songs, if I do then ill buy the album. And sometimes there are foriegn or undeground artists who I cant buy a CD of and to listen to them I have to download.

Then there are the people who download entire albums and burn them. That is not a good thing, thats just not supporting a band that you love!

Record a TV show on your VCR. Let your friend borrow it. That's what file sharing would be in real life. I don't see how that's bad.
