People have talked about and so has the modeling industry, about banning very skinny models whose bones stick out. Who force themselves to throw up before a show. I think this is putting a bad image for young teens and children about being that skinny. I think they should ban it. they had 89% on a news poll saying they should ban skinny skinny models. The modeling industries reply was

"clothes look better and model better on skinny people"

When more than half the United States is obese or overweight, they are really making no point. If no one is skinny enough to wear it, why buy it?

I think skinny models should be banned. Someone please tell them its not the way to look ,and someone give them a sandwich for gods sake.
They should be banned on it. It would teach them

They airbrush the pictures so much anyway that it doesn't matter.  As far as shows, well, some of those girls need help, but they shouldn't be fired.

How can anyone say they should be allowed? Millions of people see them and then starve themselves because they think that looks good. They are the followers of the skinny models. If they airbrush anyway what is there the airbrush on them? NOTHING. SKIN AND BONES.

No one is screaming in anyone's face 'GET SO SKINNY YOU LOOK DEAD!!!!'

People need to teach people, there is no reason to fire anyone, and make people lose there jobs, when it can fixed by parents paying more attention, and friends helping friends. It really isnt the industries fault.

I saw a pic recently of a runway model that was so skinny that her skin was digging into the ribs on her back. It was quite gruesome.

I'm all for average sized models :)

The airbrush FAT on them, if necessary.  These models aren't making anyone anorexic.  People do that to themselves.

They are influencing anerexia since they are themselves. And if they need to airbrush fat then something is wrong there.

Your telling me anerixic models are fine and dandy with all the kids l;ooking up to them, and its the parents fault that kids want to be anerexic? No offence but that is the stupidest thing ive ever heard. They need to get those skin and bones off the runway NOW

Uhm no, we are saying that parents need to pay attention to there kids and stop them from becoming anerexic.

Yes.  Anorexic models have the right to be anorexic.  There are a lot less people who "look up" to them than you'd think.  If a kid has become anorexic it's because the PARENTS weren't paying attention.  Just like my own parents weren't.

it's they're fault and parents fault.Mostly theres for getting a dumb desiese.Parents should notice what they're kids eat.If i'd would have eaten little for a few days my parents would have know that from day 2.

It's not even just anorexic models. It's just that people see people that are skinner than them, so they think they have to be super skinny.
