eBay.

You're bound to get a CRT cheap there.  I'd suggest an actual business if you were going to get a flat screen or something.

naa don't do ebay for LCDs....

your best bet is a 19 or 20' widescreen, cause they're cheap as sin and still look sexy.

EDIT: or something like this:

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2746159&CatId=170

Great deal for a 2ms display, has decent styling, loads of features, has a dvi input, and great viewing angles.

The brightness isn't up at the factory norm just because viewsonic monitors are always overly bright anyways and don't need it (unless you want your eyes to have burn-in marks :O)

There are probably better deals out there (i'll ask cmonkey) but that's a nice one for a gaming monitor :)

You're welcome.  I only remembered this because I wanted the exact same thing for our old computer... then I realized that computer didn't have any USB ports.

Oh, if you want a crappy CRT, your best bet is to check craigslist.  That way you don't have to deal with paying shipping on a 30-50 pound package.

Though, LCDs have gotten to the point where even low end panels have better contrast and color reproduction than your average CRT.
Check out my website, www.spongezone.net... oh, nevermind

I saw some with free shipping.... and the most expensive shipping was like 20. I'll check out craigs list.

I would get it somewhere like Value Village or a thrief store.

You can probably find them for a few bucks there.

at officedepot, they have a 19" lcd made by Hanns-G (a pretty good brand) for 135$ after a 80$ rebate. I might grab one later :)
